Common Area & Deck

Mountain Laurel DeckYou can relax on the deck, have a glass of wine with other guests, snooze in the sun, read a book, or just take in the view - or you can hang out in the Common Area inside Mountain Laurel Bed & Breakfast.

The central Common Area (Living Room) has a rock chimney, with a woodstove (which will be blazing in the winter), two Common Room at Mountain Laureldouble French doors to the deck, Satellite TV, VCR and CD player, a computer for checking email, and a varied video (DVD) & book library.  This area was designed to create a great place for reading, taking in a movie,  watching the cook prepare your Eggs Benedict with homemade Hollandiase , or just hanging out.
 
This Common Area is a great place for Mountain Laurel guests to relax and meet one common3_mtlanother, if desired.  For those of you who simply cannot stand to be away from your technical gadgets, Mountain Laurel Bed & Breakfast has wireless internet access available for all guests!

Lyssa can make a delectible batch of blueberry pancakes for breakfast!  When the blueberry season produces a Common Room at the B&Bmultitude of plump, juicy, ripe blueberries, Mountain Laurel Bed & Breakfast will include the latest crop in  it's morning breakfast  and will ask guests to please pick some to take home..

We also invite you to enjoy our extensive Gay and Lesbian library which has a large selection of books, magazines and videos. Make use of the local maps we've gathered to help you navigate around Asheville and feel free to browse through our flyers of interesting things to do in the area.
