MajesticMountainLaurelPerched atop a hill, surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains, sits Mountain Laurel Bed & Breakfast.  As you make your way up the driveway, the house greets you with a rustic beauty, conveying a sense of peace and tranquility.  With the majestic mountains in front of you, the stress of the day will slowly begin to fade away into the stillness and calm of the area.

Because Mountain Laurel Bed & Breakfast caters to gays and lesbians, there exists a RhododendronFlourishhaven of comfort, safety, privacy and companionship.  This environment of warmth and acceptance envelopes the house like a warm blanket on a cold winter's evening.  Structure and formality are not words associated with Mountain Laurel B&B.  Lyssa Cross, owner and proprietor of Mountain Laurel, takes great pride in promoting laid back fun, contageous laughter, good conversation, and lazy comfort. Lyssa and her partner Mary will provide congeniality, friendship,  and  Mary makes great blueberry muffins often with fresh blueberries.

Mountain Laurel Bed & Breakfast has welcomed guests from all over the country, from all walks of life who anticipate meeting new friends, but more importantly crave a complete, quiet getaway from the stress of everyday life.  If peace and quiet is what you yearn for, then look no further!  Mountain Laurel Bed & Breakfast will welcome you with open arms and grant you a seemingly elusive serenity, calming your heart for the duration of your stay.

BirdsOfAFeatherMountain Laurel enjoys four very beautifully distinct seasons here in the mountains.  Spring conveys a rebirth of the earth, where something new blooms every month, from daffodils and forsythia to azaleas, crocuses, and thrift.  As the temperatures rise and warm up the earth, the blueberry bushes on the hillside out back begin to burst into bloom.

Summer can bring some pretty warm weather and even though Mountain Laurel Bed & Breakfast has air conditioning, rarely do we need to venture far from the constant breeze of fresh air that reassures our guests.

While there are many things to do in the Asheville and surrounding area, many of our guests are content to hang out on the front porch where story telling captures everyone's attention.  Of, if you wish, you may simply sit on the deck and soak up nature's beauty that surrounds you.

As summer gives way to fall, the trees wear their colors with pride knowing that this is the time of year when guests and visitors flock to the mountains!  If you've never seen the vibrant range of colors the fall season brings to the mountains, you're missing out on quite a show!

FallBeginningsBy winter, temperatures can tend to be sporadic at best, varying from the mid-teens to the mid-fifties.  Snow can fall occasionally, leaving some guests stranded for an extended stay.  How many vacations have you spent sledding on the side of a mountain?  Getting snowed in can be loads of fun!  And then to warm you up after playing hard in the snow, hot chocolate, spiced wine, or hot toddies are available to those who need to be warmed up on the inside.  Mountain Laurel Bed & Breakfast has a gas stove and can heat the house with wood,  as well as a generator, so even if the power were to fail, guests will stay warm, have light,  and never go hungry!

No matter what season you prefer, Mountain Laurel Bed & Breakfast provides a unique getaway experience.  Try us at any season - you'll be glad you did!
